Pottery Village

This was the most unexpected and special encounter I had in Indonesia. We met Nurul by chance, and in a simple conversation I mentioned my fascination with the textile and handcrafted world. By a beautiful twist of fate, or luck, Nurul comes from a family of weavers, and his wife from a family of ceramic artisans. With great kindness, he invited us to visit his village, and we ended up staying for lunch and talked about how the village works.  The ceramic community there produces pieces on a small scale, which are taken to Bali and exported from there.
